Ramayana Part One, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by producer Namit Malhotra and actor Yash, has been in theatres for more than a day and is still trending online, with early viewers largely praising its scale and visual ambition.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. Reactions on X, as collected in the source report, suggest the spectacle is the main draw. One viewer called the Jatayu versus Ravana sequence a masterpiece and said the CGI and visual grandeur made it feel made for cinema halls.
Yash's turn as Ravana drew particular attention. One user named the actor's portrayal, especially a sequence featuring the ten heads, as the film's highlight. The same post said Ranbir fits the role of Rama but felt Sai Pallavi lacked Sita's aura.
The music, led by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, divided opinion. Some fans said the score was a standout and part of a once-in-a-generation combination of talent. Others felt the background score failed to lift key moments, and one called the music disappointing overall.
Technology also drew comment. One viewer said the VFX was executed well and that the AI lip-syncing worked better than expected. Another rated the film 9.5 out of 10 and called it a spectacular experience best watched on a big screen.
Why it matters for the business side: a mythological epic of this size depends on word of mouth and premium-format viewing to justify its investment. Social posts are not box office data and skew toward enthusiastic fans, but early goodwill on visuals and theatrical appeal is the kind of momentum producers want going into the first weekend. Ticket sales will show whether it holds.
