Prime Video released the French series Campus Drivers on 6 November 2026, with all six episodes of roughly 45 minutes each available on day one. The show adapts the first book in C.S. Quill's young-adult romance series, which is published in English as Fast Lane. It was created by Thomas Boullé and directed by Tom Goris and Vianney Lebasque.
The story is set at the fictional Belrose University. Lois, played by Carmen Kassovitz, arrives on campus with her long-term boyfriend Max, played by Enzo Lorente. He ends the relationship in the first week, leaving her with nowhere to live. She lands on the sofa of Lane O'Neill (Baptiste Masseline), a charming student who avoids commitment. A night turns into a longer arrangement when the university says its dorms are full.
For readers who follow startups, the title is a small nod to campus entrepreneurship. Lane and his friends Donovan, Lewis and Adam run a student safety ride service called Campus Drivers, using vintage cars. The series treats the business as background colour rather than a main plot. The real engine is the romance, built on forced proximity, slow-burn attraction and unresolved grief.
That grief centres on a locked bedroom in Lane's flat, which he warns Lois to stay away from. By episode three we learn the room belonged to his brother Mike, who died in a motorcycle accident two years earlier. Lane says little more. Spoilers aside, the early episodes are built to keep viewers asking what else is behind that door.
The business logic is easy to read. Adapting a book series with an existing readership gives a platform a built-in audience. Releasing every episode at once suits a short, bingeable season. Local-language productions like this one also help a global service stay relevant in individual markets, and the show leans on glossy visuals, parties, vintage cars and a pop-heavy soundtrack to travel beyond France.
The source recap covers the early episodes in detail, including Lois's struggles with her scholarship, her new friendships, and a winter break trip to her family's mountain home. The excerpt provided ends before the finale, so the question of whether Lois and Lane end up together is not answered here. Viewers who want to know will have to watch the series.
